DealStation™ JAVA Edition
The JAVA-based trading platform requires a one-time download of the JAVA 2 Runtime (browser plug-in). The DealStation™ Java Edition utilizes "push" technology which creates a real-time trading environment for placing orders and updating position and account information. The portability of the Java language allows DealStation™ Java Edition to run on multiple operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and MAC OS. DealStation™ Java Edition is launched from within the web browser as an applet. The Java Edition also offers clients the ability to trade on the platform in 5 different languages including English, Russian, Chinese, Spanish and German.
* The nature of Push technology may cause DealStation™ Java Edition to be inaccessible through certain government and/or corporate firewall/proxy configurations. Please refer to
Firewall and Proxy server Settings. To access your account through firewall/proxy configurations which prevent connections for DealStation™ Java Edition, traders may use the DealStation™ (LITE) Edition (read below for more details).
DealStation™ LITE Edition
The LITE (HTML) trading platform does not require any additional downloads as it is accessible via standard HTTP protocol, with SSL Security (LIVE Trading), from a standard web browser. Unlike the Java Edition, the LITE Edition does not support "push" technology, however, it may be accessed through most firewalls and proxy servers without network configuration changes. This platform is compatible with the latest versions of both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, running on any major operating system including Windows, Linux, and MAC OS.
DealStation™ Wireless Editions
As the pioneer in Wireless Forex Trading (the 1st to offer it in 2000, 1st to offer market orders in 2001), MG offers several methods for savvy forex traders to access their accounts. The mobile (Wireless) versions of DealStation™ offer traders the opportunity to trade through internet ready wireless devices such as mobile phones and PDAs.
